Rooted in the Belief that Every Child Can Thrive
SensAble Schooling was born from a simple yet profound realization: traditional education formats often overlook the sensory needs of children who think and learn differently. Founded in Westminster, California, our mission is to provide more than just tutoring. We offer a guided growth journey that integrates sensory-informed learning strategies and personalized reading and math support to unlock a child's inherent potential.
Our philosophy is deeply influenced by the calming, structured growth found in nature. We believe that learning, much like a garden, requires a balanced environment and specific nutrients to flourish. By focusing on the unique rhythm of each student, we help bridge the gap between struggling and succeeding, turning handwriting and literacy from obstacles into empowering tools for self-expression.
Our founders' journey began with a dedication to uncovering the 'why' behind learning challenges. With years of experience in educating diverse learners and parent coaching, they recognized that parents needed an advocate—someone to say, 'You've got this, and we've got you.' Today, SensAble Schooling stands as a haven for families seeking relational education strategies that nurture both the mind and the spirit.
Our Methodology
A Sensory-Informed Foundation for Lifelong Learning Success
Our approach builds learning from the ground up - starting with the body, supporting regulation, and then developing strong academic skills.

The Roots - The Sensory System
The Trunk - Regulation for Academic Success
We bridge the gap in learning by using sight, sound and movement together. Kids touch, see, and hear as they learn. This natural, individualized approach helps struggling learners build confidence and finally feel, "I can do this." By connecting letters, sounds, and numbers to movement and hands-on experiences, we help build a strong foundation for reading, writing and math, especially for children who learn best through doing.
Before children can focus, write, or learn, their bodies need to feel calm and ready. We use movement and sensory-informed activities to help children feel more regulated so they can better pay attention, participate, and build confidence in their learning. Over time, they start to notice when they are getting wiggly or overwhelmed and use these tools on their own.

The Leaves and Branches - The Skills of Reading, Writing and Math
Once a strong foundation is in place, we support reading, writing and math skills using strategies that match how each child learns. We also teach children simple ways to understand and respond to their own needs, helping them grow in independence, focus, and confidence.
